For those of you who like my thread I make a full time income without ranking keywords

I have been getting a lot of messages asking questions on my methods. So I have decided to open up one last time and share my very first site I ever made that used to make 170.00 a month from long tail alone. Since being hit with the unnatural links penalty I have moved on to making a few new sites. Those sites are ranking well without backlinks. No I'm not crazy or stupid unless me trying to help you makes me so, this is a old site that I just gave up on so why not show it to others to help them in there online ventures. Plus I've decided to move on to different topics they pay well other than medical.
After this share I will be taking a break from the forum to focus on these new sites, plus I will be experimenting with other income streams.

For those who want to place adsense inside the content here is the code for blogger

Look for
than insert this code above

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "item"'>
<div style="float: left;">
<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"; <- inset your adsense publisher id here
google_ad_host = "pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxx";
google_ad_slot = "xxxxxxxxxx";
google_ad_width = 300; <- this line is for changing the size of ad
google_ad_height = 250;
google_ad_format = "300x250_as";
google_ad_type = "text";
google_ad_channel = "";
//-->
</script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com...s.js">
</script>
</div>
</b:if>

my ultrasound technician Site 1

Enjoy and I hope this answers most of your questions. Use the stand alone pages to your advantage you will notice this site has a video page and forum. The forum can be embed onto a stand alone page.

Here's a link explaining how to embed the forum http://bloggerstop.net/2010/02/add-f...spot-blog.html

Edit:

Also do not change the size of your adsense ads to custom fitting , stay within the guidelines of ad sizes provide by google.

Here are some ad sizes that are allowed , do not change the size to say 130x200 this may get you banned.

(125x125)
(180x150)
(200 x 200)
(250 x 250)
(300 x 250)
(336 x 280)

    Nest.

    I have been following your old thread and now this one. I just want to thank you for posting your honest and true experience. There is so much "hype" around here that its very nice to read your posts. You tell it like it is.

    Please don't ever stop or give up. You will reach your dream some day soon!

      Thank you Frank , I'm already rebuilding my little adsense empire as we speak

      I tell my story/method to help as much as possible, I know most of the big guru's would never share their sites and I totally understand why but since mine have been hit with a penalty I decided to show my site so the noobs can see exactly what I'm talking about.

      As you can see I haven't lie or embellished anything this site is exactly 100 pages, filled with a bunch of terms related to ultrasound technicians.

      Now this site is different from those I made after it, a lot of the posts featured on there are from my days when I tried to rank for 2 or 3 word phrases so don't follow this exact model.

        Hi Nest28

        Just took a look at your site and to be honest that's a nice looking site! Congrats on your success as we all know how difficult it is to make sites that rank and earn a consistent income. I started with niche sites of 5 to 10 pages, then the top 3 (of the 20 I made) I am in proces of building out - but I am doing so with Amazon. One site just reached the number one spot for its main keyword after this whole Google shuffle with 65 pages/posts and brings in about $250 per month currently. My second site is at number two and currently only has about 10 pages/posts - but I will add a large number of posts during the month of May. This site brings in about $150 per month currently.

        Nest, keep up the good work and thank you for sharing your process for others to learn from! As I have a somewhat different approach I certainly enjoyed following your thread.

        Thanks!

        Dave

      I am amazed that your adblock in the sidebar converted so good, what was your CTR if I may ask?

      Just curious: You wrote all this content yourself?

        Close to 3%, I was also a little surprised because my visitors would not enter through the home page but rather a inner page. The ad in the side bar only appears on the home page.

        Also even though they would find my site by entering through a inner page like Can You Become An Ultrasound Technician With a G.E.D? they always end up clicking on articles like Ultrasound tech.

        So it would seem that the longtail articles would get them to the site but they never clicked ads on those articles. The visitor would always click on articles dealing with salary,school or the main topic which in this case ultrasound technician.

        Edit: sorry I forgot to answer your other question. I use the content authority, basic which is the lowest priced articles. As you can tell from my poor grammar I am no writer I have no idea where a sentence ends and begins

          I wasn't even looking at your writing skills it was more about the subject that the website is about, even with research I think I couldn't fill up a single page

          Bit odd about them directly clicking through the homepage or other articles, afterall you think they would find their answer in the page that Google indexed for their search query. Shows once again that Google still has a long way to go I guess.

    With this site I tried so hard to make it the only site I would ever need. Even though the site earned 170.00 a month I considered it a failure for a really long time because I had big plans to earn 3 or 4 grand a month , it wasn't til I came on warrior forum and saw people saying it was hard to make any money from adsense that I realized hey this site makes money every month so it is a success. I hated the idea of making more sites. I took everything that made this site work and applied it to the next one and that site began to earn close to a hundred dollars after almost 2 months. Once I built my second site to 100 pages that is when I started to make around 150.00 a month with the new site.

    All you need is 2 successful sites and after that you should be able to keep making them with no problem at all.

    Also compared to my competition I don't think anyone can look at my sites and say I don't try to offer my visitors as much info as possible.

    The forum is made up of comments from me alone I was trying to get my visitors to join but who wants to join a forum with nobody on it lol. The whole forum idea never did work out but hey I tried.

    The video page is also a failure it had very little page views but again my goal was to have as much info on my site as possible and create a great user experience.

    Bounce rate for this site was less than 65% and average time on site was 2 minutes.

      Nest,
      You are one class guy. I've been reading your other two threads and have started a similar long-tail strategy using the sites I already have. Thank you for your insight.

      You are are extremely transparent in your methods, you answer every question with as much detail as possible to help whoever asks, you are very upfront about why you outsource your content...but most of all, you just brush off attacks from jerks who try to put you down. I doubt if I could be as gracious as you, buddy. You handle haters and nonsense real well.

      Good luck on your new tactics. I can tell you are a guy who is continually looking to make his business even better, and you adapt to changes without whining or complaining.

      I've enjoyed your threads more than any other I've read on here. Nice job.

      A lot of the so-called gurus could take lessons from your approach. I hope you make a million dollars. Please keep us updated on your new successes.

        Thank you very much kind sir. I have so many ideas that it's hard to keep up with myself at times. I actually get frustrated at the fact the what I'm thinking never comes out right in my writing. There is so much more I would like to share but my thoughts get lost in translation when I try to write it down.

        I see so many of my fellow internet markets worrying about things they can't change instead of focusing on the matter at hand which is making money.

        I have a question to ask about my ultrasound site, if I had added a category about pregnancy related issues would that have been a good idea or would that have been a little off topic?

        I hate the fact that I use the letter" I" so much please forgive my puny brain for not sounding more educated lol.

          I'm doing a lot of what you're doing on my one blogger site (so far), but I did mine without the slider, hoping for less distractions and a higher CTR. Have you tested it? I like that theme too. Looks clean and easy to read.

            Sometimes I get caught up in the look of my sites instead of focusing on ctr.
            When you download those templates they give you the choice of using it with or without the slider. I always choose the slider because it looks nice but it is defiantly not needed. Once I put the adsense inside the content that's when I stared earning more so I'm not sure how the slider will affect ctr.

              A technical question: Can you tell me how you changed that background in the header? Not the header image itself, I can do that, but I can't seem to figure out hot to change (or insert) a background image the way you did.

              I found this bit of code: #header-inner Background:url and tried inserting my own image (saved on imgur.com) but it won't work. How did you do it? I am using that same theme

                I've made so many alterations I forget how to fix that problem but here is the html code of the ultrasound site. I think I expanded the space of the header ,sorry I can't remember.

                #header-wrapper{width:950px;margin:0 auto 0;height:62px;padding:30px 0px;overflow:hidden;}
                #header-inner Background:url(https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-x...282%252529.jpg) no-repeat center top;

                Edit: Try downloading the pic your trying to use to your computer than upload it to your blog. You will than be able to find it at Picasa Web Albums where you can re-size it if you have to. Tha t is exactly what I did to my site.

                I tried to use the picture widget but found out it only was in the right place when you using chrome, in internet explorer and fire fox it was way above the navigation with a bunch of space in between.

                  I think this is a great idea. You could get a some more strong long-tail phrases. Ultrasound techs play a big role in the comfort of young mothers-to-be. I'm sure a sharp guy like you would figure out the exact phrases to chase.

      I guess even though their question may have been answered they still want to see what the rest of the site has to offer. There's no way I'd be able to write about this topic either. The guy that I use on the content authority always over delivers. Last week I paid 5.39 for a 500 word article and he wrote a great 700 word article.

      Its funny I didn't even think about trying to include pregnancy related articles until now.

      That is so true, I've had plenty of people ask me questions and than they just fade away, out of a couple thousand members that read my threads only 1 "carl brown" has actually taken action.Carl is the only one I know of anyway.

      I would even help people with their projects if they wanted but like you said they will read and move on to the next thread without taking any action.

    Hey nest,

    writing articles for incoming longtail traffic is the way of the future.

    you can still get backlinks from web 2.0 like hubpages, tumblr, squidoo if want whitehat links, also ezinearticles still works as well as blog comments on related websites.

    but for those who do not want to deal with backilnking and are afraid of a google slap, deindex, or outright ban, writing articles or getting some written for you on all of your longtail visitors is the safest way to go, and you end up building a huge resourse for your visitors, exactly what google wants.

    if you are having a problem writing down your thought try dragon voice to text. it takes a while to get used to the software, but it lets you use a lot more of your vocabulary without worrying about how to spell and it almost alwas double or triples your output.

      Thanx for the advice , I've heard of that software before but never thought about using it. I don't like worrying about links and with this method I don't have to.

      Another benefit to relying on long tail is your no threat to anyone. With all the talk of negative seo and competitors hiring seo services just to harm your site, I doubt anyone will be worried about a site that's on page 2 or 3 for their keyword.

      So you make your money from longtail and in a sense no one knows your even their . Kinda like a adsense ninja lol

        I still love it! I use it for all my article writing now. I used to have trouble getting 400 word articles typing on my keyboard, but with Dragon, once you get used to talking to your computer, it gets easy creating 700-1000 word articles with no trouble at all.
