Blog / Facebook / Twitter / Google+ -- Ugh!? What to put on them?!

I'm struggling to understand how to use all these services without just repeating everything!

I have a website - and i want to keep my users up-to-date with what is going on.

I also want to have a presence on all the social sites -- but now i have a facebook/twitter/google+ account - and a blog section on my site.

I can see the advantage to my blog - as it adds fresh new content to the site.

But what about the social sites? Do i just copy and paste my blog entries to them? (Then why would people read them?)

I understand twitter - just small daily updates - to go with my blog - like maybe "New blog post in 30mins! - About New iphone" etc.

But then how do you use the social sites? Without just repeating the site stuff?

    so would you write unique content for each - which just links back to the main site?

    Or just information about new articles on the main site?

    There's a option on facebook that allows you to automatically import your blog posts.
