Log in, change the password and then deactivate all applications that have been authorized.

Do you use FireFox or another browsers that works with plugins? Please see if you got some funny plugins installed that get access to your twitter account.

They did not really hack your account, as you probably gave them permission for using an app, and if they are smart they covered their asses in a disclaimer.

Just see if that's the case.

I can't change mine either. Could be a Twitter fail.

Report to Ripoff Report and notify them about the site's tactics to get new customers.. This is highly unethical, and illegal.

Wow Just realized how old this post is and this is STILL happening with twitter. My account has been hacked from the exact company. I have REPEATEDLY tried to contact twitter to please close my account. Every way I've tried to get help leads me back to more answers in their website or blog. I tried multiple times to deactivate the account and it is set to keep reactivating. I can't change or remove my name or anything. It won't let me change the password either. I also found numerous complaints ALL OVER the web about them doing this to others so this has been like a plague and twitter has obviously done nothing to protect these people for 2 years now. Any ideas?
