Best domain for long tail keywords?

Hi WF,
I am expanding my MNS portfolio, here is the particular scenario that I'm stuck on:
I have a broad keyword that only gets about 1,900 local searches, there are numerous (4-5) long tail variations of that keyword that get 3000-10000 searches a month each.
Would it be best to register the domain for the broad keyword and create specific posts for each long tail, or better to register 5 domains and build each one separately.
