How Many Times a Day Does the Googlebot Visit?

I know this may seem like a stupid question, but I'm still learning about how everything works. I've tried to find the answer by searching, but too many unrelated answers come up.

About a week ago, my site (which was getting 250-300 unique visitors a day) completely vanished from the Google search. I'm not deindexed. I don't know much SEO, so I know that I'm not over optimized. The site is about 9 months old. PR3 and has a lot of unique content (all written by me).

Ever since then, the Googlebot has been at my site almost every time I've checked my AWStats. The Googlebot visited my site over a dozen times yesterday. Yet, my site doesn't go back in the search results. I don't understand why this is happening.

About 2 weeks ago, I changed my theme to clickbump. I don't have multiple ads above the fold though. Would this theme have anything to do with it?

I just checked my stats and the last Googlebot visit said:

Googlebot 3,135+38 119.94 MB 21 Apr 2012 - 12:42

Before, the Googlebot only visited if I updated something. Is my site broken or something?

Also, what does the 3,135+38 in the stats mean?

Thanks in advance for any help regarding this.

Googlebot visits and frequency of those visits have nothing to do with your search rankings.

Your loss of traffic is mostly likely due to something else. You need to give more information. Did you change your permalinks? What types of backlinks does the site have? When exactly did you notice the drop in traffic?

Better yet just post the url
