Site Rankings Dropped Suddenly

Well I started a blog back in January 2010 and since then never engaged in black hat seo tactics. I was never engaged in building paid links or posting on premium directories. The only backlinks i created were from just a few guest posts and commenting on top blogs. Please note through my experience leaving comments never yielded any SEO benefits in days of 2010 prior to Google Panda.

This is the reason why all Panda Updates brought happiness for me as my site increased traffic by two folds and kept increasing until early February when Google started killing my traffic and the situation was further exacerbated in late march. I have struggled hard to figure out the exact problem but if its a link penalty i never used anchor texts to boost page rank. I always tried to build naked and junk links and where I did commenting the links had my name anchor text.

Despite several offers I denied link exchange offers in my blogroll. I ma surprised why Google is so cruel towards my website. None of my new posts are getting even within top 100 while earlier they used to emerge in top 50 instantly and hence received traffic which slightly moved up until i reached top 20 this took about a month but for some of my posts its been over two months and no results?.

Just wanted to ask should I start buying high PR links and start Premium Directory Submission Tactics. Well I am worried despite following Google content and site structure guidelines I have been thrown down in search results. Please anybody give me suggestions to recover my rankings and build more organic traffic. Thank you so much

No do not buy high pr links! Usually they come from link farms which will be devalued soon. Don't worry, lots of people saw significant droppings this week. My site which was ranking on the first page is now nowhere to be seen and I only use white hat techniques. Hang tight it'll bounce back. Also I recommend you diversify your link building.

Have you done technical audit of your site? Any duplicate content or titles, 404s?

ilovechinesefood is right, try to gradually increase your links while differentiating the sources.

High pr links might be good idea if you can find solid links not from link farms. Mix of no-follow and do-follow
