Ive been Testing this muti site WordPress and was thinking
All these Guys I see with 100s of MNF sites IF subdomains etc rank why spend the money on all those domains?
WordPress Multi-site Sub-domain or Sub-directory or 100s of domains?

Lets not get into a pissing match Id like to hear input from both ends
Why Buy 100s of domains whether its for adsense or cpa
Some of the threads Ive read mention having 100s of domains pushing adsense maybe one of the keys to some of the later guys getting banned?
ME I have no idea just testing the waters.
And Why which of the above do you think will rank better

Ive got reg domains ranked Ive been testing WordPress Multi-site with Sub-domain's and yet to rank any of them? not sure why that is
Seo Guru's would you list the sub domain in your roots robot's txt? or maybe link to it from the main?

Unique IP addresses & lack of connection. If Google can track that you own hundreds of different sites on the same IP address you're not only minimizing the benefits of backlinks, but you're also putting all your eggs in one basket.

If google were to penalized sites with the same IP address ? that would be a problem with some of us using share-hosting ? as many share hosting sites belonging to different people might have the same share ip address ?
      Any comments on this ?

Yea I understand that but most of the guys that have 100s of sites use the same hosting account .I think Google has ways to track you if your using adsense its not hard to see.
Im trying to firgure out why its better to have 100s of domains instead of multi WordPress sub domains /directory's if maybe its a seo thing

I use the multisite with sub domain approach - I have 7-8 domains with about 300-500 sites per domain, and I can confirm they work well in terms of ranking.

I made a video series about this - you can see them here: Create 100s of sites a day | Screencast-O-Matic - Free online screen recorder for instant screen capture video sharing.

The sites get indexed, and get free traffic.

If you stick to an overall theme, Google considers your network of sites as an authority site.

Like I have a domain for hair loss, and build about 500 sub domain sites on various hair loss/hair growth/baldness/hair fall topics, the entire network gets treated as an authority.

And, no, my adsense account is in good standing and not banned. And one of my sub domain sites hit front page last month and is drawing heavy duty traffic and adsense clicks.

      Thanks for the useful information..
I heard that subdomains does not work as well as the main domains .. so I suppose your sub domains is doing as well as the main one too ?

This is a myth - sub domains pages rank quite ok. I judge it from the adsense income I earn, and it has been growing quite satisfactorily.

What plugins do you use for extracting the contents ?
Does Google consider extracted contents original ?
Any info would be appreciated. As Iam new.

        Thanks,
I use a plugin called Caffienated Content for wordpress, and have article content plus yahoo answers content.

Google will of course not consider the content original, but frankly, I make these sites to provide a thematic feel and to give the visitor all info on a topic in one place. Till now, I have had no issues with google.

If you are willing to do some manual work, I suggest writing original content. I don't, I am lazy.

The site you have seen in my signature is not representative of what I always do.

I use a site in say, hair loss market. I build sub domain sites for all sub topics I can find for the hair loss market. Sometimes I build sites around only one keyword. Yahoo answers gives lots of content foer each major market.

What this does is it makes your site and its subdomains a kind of authority site - think about.com, but for a specific market. It works, and google loves the sites too.

I use a plugin called "sitewide tag pages", to add my sub domain posts to my root domain blog.

What this does is to show excerpts of my sub domain blogs on my main domain, with link back to the sub domain.

I also use Dagon Design Sitemap Generator to have a sitemap on the front page of my root domain. (settings/readings/static page...)

Since I use a generic domain, the main page of the root blog doesn't stand for anything, so it can be used to show the sitemap.

          I don't add anything to the robots.txt

If you wan't I can look at your blog - PM me the url to the subdomain.

I think if you want to use different website and are of thousanda of them unique ip addresses are required and different accounts would be a better option.

I agree with you on the different website thing I am testing this because most of the Guys Ive talked to with 100s of niche sites are using the same hosting account with very few ips
Just trying some options and Didnt know why Spend the money on 100s of domains unless its for the option to sell later which im not concerned with.

There are a lot of negatives to using scraped content. You'll be fighting an uphill battle.
