Do check the source and keywords on which your are getting visitors and check it out is they relevant to your website services or product? They might be unwanted traffic.
if it is so optimize your website to a relevant keyword to be benefited.

changing the colors and layout of your ads can make a huge difference. what ad types are you using and have you done any testing with colors?

you should be earning more with those numbers.. what is the CPC for your keyword?

May be this is due to non-related adsence ads. Try my technique. Goto your adsence account and in the blocked sites list add facebook and such other sites that you notice to display on your site. Especially block facebook. You can search a list of sites on google that other people use to block.

You already asked this question a couple of days ago and got many suggestions if I remember correctly. What you're experiencing is quite normal. Your visitors are NOT specifically targeted. They may be interested in your GENERAL niche, but they arrive onto your website from keywords that you are NOT specifically targeting. If a particular keyword was getting 300 visitors a day then you would see a FAR higher return, but that's not the case...I know this and I haven't even seen your website.

You need to rethink your current strategy and target specific keywords instead of general niche keywords.

Example:

You get 300 visitors to your site and they are all looking for "natural remedies" but are NOT all looking for the same natural remedy. That means your visitors are not specific enough and you will find it very difficult to monetize. Even building a list will take a lot of work.

if you are saying you have masde $2.39 off 300 visits thats not that bad form some niches. If your site and your adsens ads are not direectly linked then those earning look about right to me

It really depends on the overall niche that you are in. For example I see a lot of people in the gaming niche or tech niche who generally always see lower CPC earnings simply because that is what the advertisers are willing to pay.

It's all about your niche and hat the advertisers think the visitors from your websites are worth.

It depends on what keywords are people coming in for and what you are trying to make them do. Without seeing your niche/kws I would say put yourself in the shoes of these visitors. What are they typing in and what are they looking for? Can you have a stronger call to action? Maybe you need to rethink your layout? Etc...

I guess, your traffic is not targeted traffic. What are your traffic sources at the moment? If you are using tracking tools, you can find the traffic sources.

Go for search engine optimisation and get rank well, traffic from search engines are almost targeted traffic.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. Most of you were right. The ads that adsense is showing my visitors are not for them, mostly. Most of my visitors were searching for a remedy related to their health issue (a specific health issue which my site is mainly about). Adsense was showing ads for vitamins and unrelated health issues. That is why no one was clicking them. I've switched most of the adsense display ads with text links (text links are better because they do show content related to your site) and added amazon widgets with products I've picked myself that I think my visitors will like/click.

We'll see what happens in the next couple of days.

The low conversions are because your visitors do not stay on you site and go away quickly. What you need to do is target the right visitors and build up you content. If you're having Amazon products reviewed on your site make sure that your posts are at least 500 words long.
