Hi All

Tried implementing the Rel=Author google snippet tool. To test your site once you have attempted to implement it google provide this tool

Webmaster Tools - Rich Snippets Testing Tool

Although 99% appears ok I get the following error when using ctr theme

Warning: Missing required field "updated".
Warning: Missing required hCard "author"

From doing some research I found it has something to do with the theme and feeds. Any tips on what to update? I've found some articles of people who have resolved this common issue but they didn't seem to fix it in ctr theme. Any tips really welcomed

ps. I got to page 1 today with my first mns! No clicks yet

For the updates, I just used this in every wordpress post...

Last Updated on May 14, 2013

I found it on a google search and it worked for fixing that error. Not sure on the vcard one

I was having this problem but never bothered with it until I started my new sports betting site. Once that went online and Google Webmaster Tools showed all these rich snippet errors I decided to resolve it. I thought it only natural that Google will put my site above those sites that do not resolve the Rich Snippet errors.

It took me ages but I did manage to fix it. What made it really difficult is that it does seem to be theme related. What works for one theme does not necessarily work for another.

I've posted the solution on Wassupblog as well as making a YouTube video tutorial.

I should mention that the theme this fix applies to is the FlexSqueeze theme.
