Has Google ever reversed an algo change?

I have lots of sites, they were all on the first page for most relevant keywords. All of them.
After yesterday, they all sunk to whoknowswhere. These are not bad sites, they're professionally designed, selling legitimate goods. My sites are 100% better than any of my competitors, even the HUGE guys.
I don't have any spam links, nothing black hat except buying some facebook friends, which should have nothing to do with this. The sites are structured properly, they're beautiful to look at, they're very informative and trustworthy.
Now when you search for my products, HORRIBLE pages come up. It is astonishing how bad they are.
This seems to be a constant thing after this algo change -- horrible, spammy, shoddy, untrustworthy sites are showing up on page one for all kinds of keywords.
My question -- has Google ever reversed a change that anyone knows of? This is a disaster. I feel like they made an "oopsie" and want to know if there is any chance they effed up, and will fix it.
