Google knows so much about our web habits

So why don't they use that information to rank sites? I have sites I go to on a daily basis, but I never post backlinks to them somewhere else. I am sure, one way or another, google know my internet usage. WTF don't they use that instead of backlinks? Its hard to fake real user usage on a consistent basis, especially compared to blasting 10,000 backlinks with a few clicks.

    Not to sure what you're trying to say here.

    There basis of using backlinks is basically to pass along a "vote" which tells the search engine your site can be "trusted" and this helps it rank better. Depending on the strength of you back-links you acquire.
