Ranking in Europe When You're In The US

I just found a niche that's big in Europe but doesn't get a lot of action around here.

I live in the US and obviously want to rank well everywhere but how do I make sure I'll rank in Europe if I build it?

I haven't done any international products so I don't know if it's any different ranking over there. I think I read somewhere it's a different process, that websites that are in your country are more likely to rank better. So I don't want to get knocked out just for being in the US

Are you trying to build a new site, and rank it in Europe? Having the site hosted in Europe might help, probably...

Make sure you get a European domain first off (although a .com would probably produce the same results)

Now what you have to do is leave backlinks on pages that are indexed in the search engine you're targeting's index

So if you're trying to rank in Google.Co.Uk you'll need to get backlinks from pages that are indexed within that search engine

It's simple and no more difficult then ranking in Google.Com

From testing I have noticed alot of times it depends on the backlinks origin, I have a site that has alot of backlinks from UK sites that made me rank way higher in the UK, everything I rank on page 2 in USA is ranked on page 1 for the UK

Yeah the product is hot in europe but there is a decent base in the US too now that I look into it.

Germany is a big buyer too though, but not as big as either the uk or the US. So I guess there isn't a reason to host over there.

How do I deal with orders? I am planning on making my money with affiliates. Amazon doesn't pay as well as other affiliates, they actually pay way less, but... using amazon as an example because people know it well here and it's prob easiest to start with.

If I put an affiliate link on my site to amazon and a guy from germany comes to my site and clicks the link will he get forwarded to amazon germany and will I still get paid?

    Thanks

    Hi Josh,

I will be setting up a system to link partner between Americans and Germans and other Europeans. It will be finished end of May or first of June.

The European side will help you setup, translate and help with laws, regulations and rules. You can find a partner and work with them to sell your products and/or services in Europe. You will see it here on WarriorForum and all amjor Systems in US and Europe. We have over 1000 us and over 500 European partner already so keep your eyes open.
