Quality over quantity. Don't worry about generating tons of backlinks. You can easily outrank sites with thousands of junk backlinks if you've got higher quality backlinks.

This is what I found. Quality over quantity as stated above. Just slowly do 1 or 2 back links with anchor text if possible for a keyword a day or so. You will see your ranking climb!

Leave comments on high page rank blogs and websites, promote your content on social media sites, and submit quality posts to article directories. You can also participate in forums and send out press releases in order to get quality backlinks.

Back links doesn't matter to get ranked higher in search engine listing according to Google algorithm. Google has started to concentrate to unique and informative content after first panda update. So website should have to put informative and unique content on website and to blogs for referral traffic because Google wanna give best user experience to their customers.

Backlinks definitely still matter.

Try registering a new domain, posting 10 REALLY high quality articles, and doing nothing else beyond that. Your traffic is going to be pretty non-existent and unless you're targeting phrases with zero competition you'll be nowhere to be found.

For increasing the backlinks for your site you should do high pr dofollow submission. It is very effective for increasing the page rank of your site. You should perform some off page activities also,they are :blog commenting and posting,Forum posting,directory submission etc.

Open firefox then search for seoquake firefox plugin. After you installed go to seoquake plugin settings check on the option "strike through no follow link".

You might as well use the same plugin for chrome and opera. Good Luck

Obviously there is no easy way - Infact, backlinking done the tedious way does produce long term efforts. None of my sites have been hit by Google's latest update and I am now doubly certain that automation in backlinking, needs to be done only when you have understood your tools well.

Instead of facing the music from Google later, it is best you keep your focus most on learning the intrinsic aspects of backlinking first, making yourself a backlinking plan which you by yourself can implement, sticking to it for a few weeks and then obviously, increasing your backlink building intensity through automation or other methods. All this primarily if you want to master backlinking.

Getting too much of back links for a single website is not always the assurance that it will get high page rank or traffic in the search engine. Sometimes it may also happen that Google may restrict the web page for having too much of back links. So it would be better to make quality back links that may beat the other web pages rather than to have many back links.

Do note that you should have a mix of dofollow and nofollow backlinks, to look more natural to Google. Nofollow links do effect your rankings too. Quality and natural backlink is the key to rank high. If you're looking for easy way, you may probably end up buying links that looks spammy. So, work hard instead of finding the easy ways.
