Youtube pages in the rank?

So, I think I found a new niche for an adsense/affiliate site. The exact keyword get's about 1,600 searches a month and I can land the exact match .org or .net domain name.

The problem is that when I actually searched this term, the first 3 results are youtube videos. Then there's a squidoo lense, a wikihow page, and then actual sites catering to this keyword.

Are youtube sites beatable for a low competition keyword?

ongsono.com says the only actual site to rank top five (not videos or article sites) has 2 backlinks.

      lol? I guess you are joking. If you have few videos on first page that's actually a positive thing, this means no serious competition there. Build high quality links and you will outrank them in no time.

    Well actually videos rank much easier than text based pages so why not take advantage of this and create a video on this niche and post it on your website. Since I don't know what is the niche I cannot say if it will be easy but having videos on your site will certainly help...
