Wait it out or start implementing changes after recent algo update?

So it's been 2 days now since this algo hit and with just about all my Adsense sites taking a dive from page 1 and to like page 2 and beyond should we start implementing something to get our sites back and moving up the SERPs again? Has anyone figured out white might work at this stage?

But I still don't know if it's the backlinks that brought on this drop or more with how the sites were setup (by the way I have unique content, 1% kw density, 10-15 pages of content on each sites, 500+ words, etc.).

So do we still wait it out or start getting backlinks again or trying to change up site structure to see if it helps in any ways? What are you gusy doing right now with your sites? Is everyone in a wait stance hoping things might reverse back or what?

Take each of your sites one by one and build them out and give them the love and the attention they need and just try and build them for the user.... it sounds easy and I know for one that its not going to be but if you stick it out and analyse everything I am sure you will see your rankings pick up

    Good luck

To the OP, go out there and start blasting like a madman, if you wanna get back your rankings.

No need to be idle, As it could take 3 to 6 weeks for this all to sift through to the final results, from my past experiences. Here are some suggestions.

While you wait it out, work on your top 3 moneymakers. Make some new pages/posts to your top 3 sites. Look at searches people did in the last 30 days and expand on those pages and new posts.

Add the searches terms used in the last 30 days to your page's/post's tags. This is what Google said your site was about, so oblige them.

For each new page or post, post one or two on topic blog comments in your niche, PR 3 or higher. (It lets G find your new pages easier). Less is more. Don't do more than 2 or 3 to start. Google seems to see a few blog comments as social right now.

Check the on page optimization and check with a tool to make sure the page is not over optimized. Even TrafficTravis free will do this.

Right now, I am rewriting PLR to new articles, making a new website, revamping an old site, etc. Things that need done anyway and will get me ahead of those who are too worried to do anything.

Monday, I start a class on using facebook and pinterest.

Life goes on, we have to move with it. :-)

P.S. Why not make another site or two that is not adsense related. It is best not to put all your eggs in one basket. Adsense earnings and affiliation can be taken from you at any time.

NO NO NO! This algo update was almost (if not completely) backlink based. Doing the same types of backlinks " BLOG COMMENTING" and expecting better results is ridiculous!

Hello! Blog commenting is part of the reason you lost your rankings!!!

Mister Rex, It looks like we have had different experiences with this. Note I cautioned just a couple blog comments.

Neither did I say all my sites tanked.

I used socialmonkee lately on two of my BEST adsense sites, both are tanked! Can socialmonkee be held responsible for this degradation?

    Any idea?

    • Continue to build good content, focusing on long tail searches. You should be able to rank for long tail content without any or minimal backlinking, but keep it clean. If you haven't done any black hat stuff, you should wait it out and see what happens in the next few weeks with your existing content.
