What was your previous backlinking strategy? If it consisted of spammy links that just get de-indexed, you need to take a more long term approach to your SEO if you expect to stick around.

yes, I had purchased some spammy backlinks from fiverr.

Otherwise, does the website look good from search engine perspective?

Site looks decent but your on-page SEO seemed a little weak to me. Also, try building a good, diverse backlink profile again. You'd ideally want a good mix of social bookmarking, wiki links etc. Lot of people dropped cuz of just one type of backlinks. If you do this well, your site should be back up in no time.

Diversify your backlink profile. Those spam links don't need to take control over the rest of your quality links.

Your Sidebar Widgets(ads) are covering your content try using text only if it's Adwords as it makes your site look cluttered.

I am also using Wordpress Yoast SEO plugin which helps in providing custom page title different from the page url.

could that also be causing issues?

    Lots of sitewide duplicate content
Google "JSON has gained a lot of popularity in all kind of applications including desktop, mobile and web applications. The following program shows how to convert HashMap which contains key value pairs into JSON"

You have canonicals in place, but there is still duplicate content from the snippet in the categories.

What I would do is noindex/follow tags, categories, archives - possibly authors.

The reason I would do noindex/FOLLOW, is because you still want google to follow the links. You dont want a sudden decrease in number of inbound links, which is what would happen if you did noindex/NOfollow

In your backlinks, you have 44 redirects, any idea what those are?

Thanks for pointing to duplicate content. I just removed the categories, tags and archives from my sitemap and submitted the same again.

These 44 redirects from backlinks is my mistake only for getting backlinks faster by using stat websites which create a backlink to your website. Hope they will go away with time.

But my questions still remains the same, does the use of different title tag than the URL is also causing issues. I used the yoast seo plugin so that I could add keywords in the title tag. Is it kind of over-optimized title tags?

People saying diversifying backlinks, I think every angle you look at it, spam is spam no matter where it's from.

I had every type of backlink most manually built, social bookmarks, high pr comments, high pr forum profiles, non forum profiles, web 2.0 profiles, wiki links, article directory links, web 2.0, press release, blog network links, facebook likes, plus 1+'s, natural links..

All from a wide variety of sources, sorry didn't save me
