Sites affected by latest update

To early to say probably need 2 weeks to settle but so far here is what I see in SERPS:

For my health related competitive niche I can see page one has been refreshed 80%

1. So all EMDs with 10-30 pages of content got droped
2. Sites like webmd and mayoclinic is up (before they have been on page 2)

So far I can see how SEO is going to change 100%.

This one is big. Matt Cunts did it again.

    mate, what we do after our keyword being placed at top ten in google? 80% just leave creating backlinking. As a result our keywords dropped down. That might be one of the reason what you are facing now.

      I do not think that is the case =)
      There is much more to it.

      1. Keyword over optimization
      2. Thin sites
      3. Spun content unrelated links

      SEO pretty much is changed now, no ALN, BMR, UAW etc

        Have been saying this since february. It's about unique content and a diverse backlink profile. In a nutshell, make it look as natural as possible.

    They cant still change the fact that this update is very flawed. Whatever they explain they cant still deny these flawed result at these terms "MAKE MONEY ONLINE" and "PYTHON HOSTING". Even if they change or corrected these two, there are still million or even billion of search terms that has this problem.

    I only have 5 sites, only 1 of them wasn't hit... a 1 month old site, EMD, 3 pages of content, adsense on from launch and no backlinks. Still sat at #5 on page 1, just on the strength of EMD + optimised content + very low quality competition. My other 4 sites are all very similar, except I've done backlinking on all of them - UAW and social bookmarking mainly. They've all plummeted. I do think this update is based on backlinks, I personally don't think it's anything to do with on-page SEO or EMDs or anything like that. Also, all my sites are in the same Analytics and GWT accounts, and use the same Adsense account, so I don't think Google is throwing a blanket over all sites owned by the same person.

      i have an emd site, i havent done any optimization or backlinks to it. it has 5 articles but its not there.
