Hello,

ive been playing adsense for almost 3 months. and just want to know what is your average cost per-click (CPC) that comes from english website?

i have an indonesian website, the CPC is around 0.08-0.2/click!!

just want to know if this earning/cpc is very low or just a standard?

actually i have 2 minisites with english content. BUT, even they're ranked in page1 in google and using the minisite template, i wonder its very rarely got click from visitors! even i dont know how big the CPC earning that comes from those websites.

*_*

CPC depends on your niche and keywords.

If your CPC is low then i think you are in the wrong niche or using the wrong keyword, even today i saw a keyword with a CPC of $7.

Your stats are typical. Niche is not an issue. it's your
site and traffic. People will either be bidding on it,
or you will be stuck with low-paying global ads.

CPC is not really what you should be looking at.
I would rather have 1,000 8 cent clicks than 5
$5 clicks. Besides, your CPC can fluctuate wildly
      from click to click.

      Look at the bottom line.

If you were disappointed in your results today, lower your standards tomorrow.

        Well, just your opinion.

Niche has a big role to play when it comes to Cost Per Click, like it or not, some niche are hotter than others and this makes their CPC to be high if it is highly bidded.

I have a site/keywords that generates 5, 600+ monthly and the CPC is between $0.30 and less. I barely make $100 from this site monthly.

I have another site with a CPC of $1.20 and generates about $3, 000 and make around $200 monthly. There are times when i earn up to a $1 per click for this keyword.

Niche, keyword and traffic have a big role to play when it comes to how much you can earn from adsense.

Thanks for all comments. actually my website niche is all about Computer.

honestly, i didnt realize/see the CPC when i done the keyword research. i picked this keyword just because the niche has 70000 monthly searches with low competition in search engine. yeah, ive just realized that the average CPC for my website is around $0.48!.. *_*

but is it true that the CPC will increase by increasing my page rank, as
          @addlinkweb said?

CPC depends upon the niche of the site, but you can still increase the CPC by increasing your page rank, Google places ads of higher CPC on higher page ranked websites
secondly target visitors of USA, because clicks from USA have higher CPC

I think niche and then keyword selection does matter if you want higher paying clicks. Seems pretty simple if you put yourself in an area that (according to Google's keyword tool) pays more CPC, you'll make more per click.

I don't get Paul's analogy or way of thinking here... how can you compare 1,000 clicks to 5 clicks. Compare the same amount of clicks with different per click prices and then see what you get?
