CTR Theme integration with Google Rich Snippet

Hiya
If anyone has been using ctr theme and trying to get it work with the google rich snippet tool I'd love a little pointer / bit of advise.
When I test authorship with googles snippet tool I get the following two errors
Warning: Missing required field "updated".
Warning: Missing required hCard "author".
It seems like its related to ctr theme just wondering if anyone has managed to fix the problem. I have googled it and other peoples solutions that worked with their theme didn't work with mine. I know its saying its looking for some additional attributes but I'm not sure how to provide theme.
The author link is installed correctly other than that, my author photo appears on the rich snippet tool fine. This is just a minor problem that appears in the bottom additional error section. I feel getting this right will help rank better.
