Quick question, if you were to hire someone to do some Whitehat Offpage Seo for you what type of backlinking would you expect that person to do for you?

The reason i am asking is because a person i hired is supposed to be doing Off page Whitehat Seo for one of my websites and i learned something yesterday that is a bit disturbing to me in that i dont think i'm getting what i paid for.

    i suggest to do article marketing, tell him to create backlinks with articles on high pr article sites and blogs ezinearticles, articlebase, isnare etc..

    links that you don't create yourself =/ Creating the links yourself on article sites is the definition of unnatural linking, especially if you're targeting an anchor text. You're inflating the links to rank you for those terms with is not natural, and thus a link scheme.

    What is your take on WP Plugins that build backlinks automaticaly, is that whitehat seo in your opinion? Because thats what the guy is doing and hes saying that is Whitehat seo, I told him i dont think thats right and its just spamming links to my website.

      I'd advise you to quit that SEO service and wait till the dust settles.

      Anchor text links are one of those things Google is identifying when they slap sites now. It used to be white hat, but probably not now.

    Wordpress plugins are just like ordinary automated backlink tools, they are cheap and quick to run, but their lack of results or involved penalties are often not worth even thinking about using.

    You need to stop this guy working on your site immediately as he may be doing more harm than good.

    Consistent backlinks built very gradually is the answer in today's SEO climate, so do or hire someone to do that.
