      Hubpages looks to be favored by the G algo after their latest update. So, if I were you, I'd be writing more on it even though the income from Hubpages simply sucks.

      Firstly you need to split it with them. And then, it looks like advertisers are not paying much for Hubpages placement. For the same amount of traffic on your own site, you will make a lot more.

    I have several lens on Squidoo and they have never made me any significant money but theabitly to create backlins to my other sites is a good thing. I do not have any experience with Hub yet.

    If you put a link in a Squidoo lens, do you need to build backlinks to the lens for the backlink to get indexed or will Google crawl and index it anyway because Squidoo is a popular web 2.0 site?

    sometimes google will index squidoo lenses with no backlinks. It generally depends on the competition of the targeted keyword, in my experience.
