OK So I see many are freaking out over Google right now. None of my big sites have been hit yet, sites that were hit I used Fivver on, never again lol.

Anyways Iv seen discussions about negative SEO and the fears it's causing. If Google doesn't go back to the old way and keeps it possible to kill other businesses with link building tactics this is what needs to happen, or be created...

You know how you need to put a verification code on your site if you want Google Analytics, Webmaster tools ect? I feel we need something that approves links to be built to our sites. Im not a programmer or even close but I see a rich future for anyone who can create something like this and it'll just become another future seo task (Link Approvals) a different step to (Link Indexing)

Funny you mention negative SEO, I just had someone do it to me recently and wrote about it True Passive Living | How My Site Dropped From Negative SEO & Not The Penguin Update.

I don't think your suggestion would even be implemented though, that's simply too hard. For instance, when you write quality content and have solid readership... you may get several hundred backlinks to a post in a day. Do you want to approve all those manually? I sure don't.

Negative SEO is nothing new by any means, it's just become more pronounced recently because main stream webmasters have become aware of it. Most people do not think about both ends of the spectrum... if you can move a site up with backlinks, you can also move it down.

Negative SEO probably existed for a while but it was much harder/complex. I think it suddenly became super easy and anyone can do it with spamming tools that use anchor text (xrunner, scrapebox etc) and be done within 10 minutes.
