I've heard so many arguments about this and I'm unsure what to do.

Should I get rid of these services and replace them with something else?

What are YOU doing?

Google doesn't use that data against you so there is no reason not to use them. They have plenty of other data to nail people with, so you might as well use it since they're free.

I use adwords, webmaster, analytics. Never bothered with Optimizer.

If your running Adsense I'm sure Google knows more about your site/traffic than you do, whether your running GA (Google Analytics) or not.

I personally don't think there's anything to worry about when it comes to using Google analytics, wmt and such services.
I mean, these tools are there to help you find out more about your site and the information that might be important to you. Google already knows about this information and doesn't need Google analytics to tell it where you get your links from and who you are linking to and so on.
That's just my personal opinion and of course I might be wrong.

Can you explain exactly why you want to get rid of analytics. It works a treat with the adwords by giving you a real feel of what is actually working. you can improve your conversion rate dramatically by using it.

Google does not know vital things about your website such as pages per visit, bounce rate, time spent on site, etc. Google has no way of knowing any of that information unless you install one of their services. I think it's only a matter of time until that information will be used in the algorithm.

Install Statcounter and remove Google Analytics if you're worried. Might as well. Nobody truly knows whether or not Google Analytics has anything to do with Panda or Penguin. If you're worried, just remove, implement a different service, and call it a day.

I honestly wasn't using my Analytics or Webmaster tools for anything, so I removed them from my sites. Interestingly enough, my pages seem to be loading more quickly. :/

I did a small case study of whether Google tracks your backlinks and use the data to penalize you or w/e reason. My sites that have Analytics + Webmaster code in was doing fine. Same goes to my sites which doesn't have them on.

As google has developed a bad habit of talking out of both sides of their mouth and giving mutually exclusive and contradictory information lately I would suggest analytics is a risk right now and unless your are gleaming very important information from it I would get rid of it.

Google trust factor is at an all time low

I have stopped adding G Analytics to my sites as I feel that there are other alternatives that work just as well such as stat counter and then i do not have to worry about if G is using that data or not.

The more i think about this the more i think it is a good idea to go in a different direction.

when google decideds to to use things like bounce rate against you they will almost certainly tell you AFTER you get hammered and some smart webmaster brings it to light and they are forced to admit it.
