Before you judge me, read to the end. If you don't then you are uneducated on my ideas your opinion is invalid. Even if you think I am wrong I guarantee you will be entertained.

So now finally people realize that negative SEO is possible... something that I have known for months due to testing the theory for myself. Now that more people are realizing it is a reality I shall tell you why I think it is happening.

The reason Google allowed/wants negative SEO to happen.

For years now governments and the media have wanted to control the internet. Big business tycoons such as Rupet Murdoch would love to get a share of the Internets media but have failed. For example when he bought out Myspace and everyone moved to Facebook, primarily due to his seedy agenda for the website.

Up until now no one has been able to tame the internet and it is the home of free speech, a place where anyone can make a website and be heard. This is where Google comes into this with negative SEO.

As most of you know negative SEO effects small to medium sized websites who have a low backlink profile and relativity low amount of "trust" with Google. These types of website make up the majority of the internet. This is bad for the big media empires that control most of television, news papers and radio and who want to run the world.

For a group of elite individuals to control the internet, the internet first must be run by a select few people. Use for example searching 'questions'. If you type a basic question into Google 90% of all queries will result in Yahoo answers or EHow being the top results.

The reason why the internet needs to be run by these select few people is that once the market share of the internet is controlled by lets say 10,000 major websites controlling all subject areas for first and second page results then they can be bought. Be it buying the company outright or paying for them to censor or manipulate their website content in a way that is favorable to the buyers interests. If for example you were one of the wealthy elite of this world then you could pay each of those webmasters $1,000,000 or more to post your medias agendas or just plain buy out the website and still have plenty of cash left. Or maybe those 10,000 websites would be bought out by 100 different larger companies consolidating the "owners" of the internet further and allowing for the fixing of ideas or whatever else, this idea seems likely since it is how television media has become.

Google knows that negative SEO will create a war of the webmasters and we will eventually destroy each others websites leaving Google's hands blood free. Destroying websites this way leaves Google out of the focus. It was your competitor that destroyed your website, not Google.

Once the small and medium webmasters are out of the game then the internet can be run by an elite group of people. These people can then control the herds of people by manipulating them, just like what happens in mainstream media elsewhere. Want an example? Look at Fox News.

Google are relying on the average user of the Google's search engine to be pig ignorant about us webmasters. And it is a bet with high odds in their favor. Your average person knows nothing about us webmasters, we are the invisible cogs that power the internet, no one cares if the cogs disappear as long as the machine keeps working. They are relying on the fact that the users wont notice nore care that these big brands control the market. After all what average person stops to care if an independent small site is on the top of Google for their search query? The answer is none. Users just want to get their fix of whatever they come online for, they don't care who gives it to them.

Could your website generate money for you to bother keeping it running without organic SEO? For most people the answer is no. Eventually most of your average webmasters will disappear off the internet as their audience will diminish. Further down the line the elite will have the power to reduce the traffic flow to webmasters of their choosing. Whoever controls the user can control where they go.

But why do Google care about this? Greed, power, wealth. Perhaps it is not Google that cares but more that they are just puppets for someone else, perhaps the owners of Google receive "gifts" or promises of power and prestige for the future from wealthy and powerful individuals, Google must of course repay those gifts and favors by helping them reach their goals.

Google is one of the wealthiest internet companies of this time and one of the most powerful companies on the internet. Do you really think they would implement negative SEO without an agenda? Big companies such as Google don't make mistakes like that. Instead they have plans and agendas that they can call "mistakes" if their greedy manipulative plans are uncovered. Just look at George Bush for example; he said it was a mistake that Iraq didn't have weapons of mas destruction after he claimed they did. It was "bad intelligence". It was no mistake, so called "mistakes" by such powerful people are just a bull s*** excuse they use to scapegoat their true plans. Mistakes so big don't happen when you have unlimited resources to plan. Extensive planning = no mistakes.

Look at what has happened to the internet lately, the media and governments have been on a rampage. An example of this is the shutting down of piracy websites and the imprisoning of (in my eyes) innocent webmasters. It's quite obvious that wealthy and powerful people are waging war on the Internet and in my opinion Google is on their side.

To me negative seo is googles "nuclear option" to what they consider irrelevent content providers or spammers as they are heading into desperate times

I read recently that a natural nutrition blogger in the US who was sharing how he beat diabetes using a natural based diet was told to rewrite his blog by his state government or face being sent to jail. It's on the net, just search for it if you can find it (I don't want to post the news link here). That's really screwed up...

And as for Google....well, they lobbied for CISPA. You know whose side they are on.

I don't think the average internet marketer here knows or even cares what CISPA is....but it's going to impact everyone's privacy. You need to care now, if you care about the very near future.

@honestbiz I just did a bit of reading about the nutrition blogger. That is pretty messed up. The pharmaceutical companies hold a lot of power in America it is terrible that even they would stoop so low to boost profits, however it doesn't surprise me. As for Google backing CISPA it's pretty messed up also. Both of these further confirm my thoughts about Googles plans for the internet using negative SEO. Thanks for sharing.

To my understanding that case involves someone giving medical advice w/o a proper license. I know its a gray area but I dont think it was as cut and dry as people think. Its like that mcdonalds coffee case.

Not medical advice but nutritional advice. He was advising people on a good diet to help with diabetes (he was also a diabetic and it had helped him). Besides even if he had said "go drink a bunch of bleach and eat some poisonous berries it helps with diabetes" should it be a criminal offence? The fact of the matter is this is the internet a place where at present we can say whatever we want. Once governments get involved where will they draw the line? Maybe next will come the time where if someone posts their favorite song on youtube they will be doing 5 to 6 years in prison with hardened criminals for copyright infringement.

ahh my mistake. If this person was not engaged in any other activity other than just stating what he feels is a healty diet then yes this is very disturbing.

It is disturbing since it has implications for free speech and......everyone with a natural health site. The guy was just talking about the Paleo diet, what is so wrong with that?

Google's recent Penguin update and punishment for Unnatural Links can be likened to some kind of censorship along these lines as well.

All these developments just don't bode well for the near future, and as long as people have their heads firmly stuck in their asses, it is only going to get worse....and worse.

As a Ron Paul supporter of many years now, I'm glad to see people like you waking up to these things going on around us.

The main thing I think everyone needs to understand is that the United States Dollar Hegemony is on the ropes. Therefore, we're "necessarily" going to become a poorer nation as time goes on.

As we become poorer, POWER, INFLUENCE AND CONTROL becomes more valuable than our depreciating toilet-paper money we use around the world. An even greater threat is that every paper currency is inherently worthless given the vast amount of debt each country has accumulated. This is why precious metals continue to skyrocket. This is why oil/gas continues to go up in relation to our dollars. Things like oil, silver and gold are simply more valuable than the money we use to buy those commodities in. Meanwhile the elites will lie to you and say it's about shortages, of which there are none, or suggest it's about anything other than the result of inflation. They're lying to you. They don't want you to know the TRUTH.

That's what the war on terror is really about. The terror threat itself was created by our foreign policy of many years. Then after they create that terror threat what do they say? The terrorists want to destroy our freedoms. So how do they defend us from these freedom destroying terrorists? By destroying our freedoms. Is it any surprise that the nations of Iraq, Iran and Libya were pursuing a plan to reject the dollar for oil and sell their oil directly for gold? And look, Iraq and Libya have been invaded and their leaders killed.

And in today's age, knowledge and truth has become a danger to those in power. As a result they must be in control of the information. It's all about the information and that's what NDAA, CISPA, FAFTA, HAFTA, COULDA, WOULDA AND SHOULDA all come down too. Control.

And unfortunately, about half of your fellow citizens will be right there cheering them on in their tyrannical pursuits. The very idea of licensing has nothing to do with safety or quality. It has to do with CONTROL and POWER.

They did a study recently that found that POWER is as addictive as COCAINE. And, of course, Cocaine is illegal haha.
