What is the Best Keyword Research Tool For PPC Marketing

HI there, I am looking for the best keyword research tool and/or process for PPC marketing campaigns. I see a lot of votes for Market Samurai, but it looked more in terms of SEO keyword research. Is this true?

If I want to focus solely on PPC for the time being, what is the best tool and research process for digging up good keyword lists to implement? Thanks

Nate

My eyes and keyboard do a lot of my work. I've been trying to figure out Market Samurai for a year now, and it never gives me results that I can use. On the times that I do use it, I'm only getting lists out of it that I take over to the GKWT and then work on. I also rely on pen and paper (shocking!!) for some of it.

I'm all about free tools...just Google.com and the GKWT are where the majority of my information comes from.

I'm currently trying out Long Tail Pro and loving it. Although - Google have recently updated their keywords tool, at the end of the day - any program you use to do keyword research is only pulling the same data from google keywords. Make that a good place to start - you dont HAVE to have a program to get good results

Thanks to both of you...I am arriving at the phase of my online business career when one realizes the simplicity of this business, and that basic methods work the best, and nobody really needs all the extra stuff we are sold, at least not in the beginning...Appreciate the feedback..

Any tips on generating huge keyword lists to start with?

      Not true :p

Keyword sniper pro pulls keyword suggestions from google suggestions. KSP is by far one of my most favorite keyword tools. Its easy to learn and I can usually pull 3,000 to 10,000 closely related keywords for one search term.

A WF member by the name of jack duncan created this software and I believe (not sure) that you can find it in the wso section with a nice discount.

For the most part I do, however I do use Market samurai to help break down the competition.

For the most part KSP is really the only tool I need. It has the google keyword tool built in. If you do buy it make sure to watch the videos that are provided with it. Here is a video that I made that kinda shows how it works.

Honestly...you don't need a huge keyword list. You just need a list of keywords that works for you. I normally get up a list of 10-20 and then spend some time building those keywords into a small authority site. If the site takes off, then I spend more time and build those keywords into a bigger list for more content.

Here a hint, though: find sites in the niche you like and plug those into the GKWT. You'll get more keywords than you know what to do with.

I stick with the Google Keyword tool exclusively. I run a lot of keywords. One of my ecom's has 20K active keywords.

I get all I need from that keyword tool.

Ok, is that your affiliate link? This works well with PPC right, you were saying that the Google Adwords interface is built in correct? one time fee, no upsells?

      Thanks

Its not my affiliate link, but it is the cheapest place you can find it. I like the product so much I dont really care about making a commission. Jack Duncan is the creator and that is his wso. He is also fast to respond to any support issues.

One time fee no upsells, He does have other software that he might try to upsell in a newsletter, but you get full access to the software in the video above as soon as you pay.

The adwords interface is built in. If you look at the video above you will see how it is built in.

As far as PPC it will give you keywords that the google keyword tool will not normally show you. Its up to you what keywords you use for your ppc campaign. I use it to find keywords for my ppc campaigns (been about 6 months since I have though) and pick the keywords that suit my product the best.

If you are primarily interested in PPC, the Google Adwords Keyword Tool should be all you need to use as that's what it is specifically designed for.

Market Samurai or Ultimate Niche Finder, you can use either of those. I personally use Market Samurai most of the time.

You can also try the SERPAnalytics as I found it pretty helpful on one of my tools. The spy tool which comes with the keyword tool is pretty beneficial too.
