Google is confused,just like us

All my pages disappeared on Google after the Penguin but today I have started to see some of my pages on the 4th or the 5th page. They appear for a short time and disappear and then they appear again elsewhere.
I think Google is as confused as us.

"Us" refers to people here on this forum who are confused about the latest Google Algo change called Penguin.
What does "have a mouse in your pocket" mean? Probably it's an English idiom and I don't know it's meaning as I'm not a native speaker.
Would you be kind enough to explain it?

Things are still shuffling around. There is no guarantee any sites will come back to where there they were though.
