Twitter trick, forum profile all in one
- SEO |
show the latest tweets that mention the site or
person. boxofficemojo.com is one such site.
Visit that site, scroll down on the right, and you
will see a twitter feed box. If you do a tweet
with @boxofficemojo in it, your tweet will appear
in a few minutes. Don't do this on days that box office
receipts are in the news, or your tweet falls off fast.
They do not show clickable urls. But your twitter username
is clickable. Can't hurt and may get you a follower or two.
I have to caution you to use it the way it should. Make a
movie tweet and put @boxofficemojo in it. Remember,
you don't want to kill this thing. Leave out any urls.
Now for the forum profile. This site has numerous forums.
I use one.
You can access it by scrolling to the bottom and clicking on
forums.
I use the first one listed, have not tried the rest. It's the forum
box office.
Join that one. Now you do have to be able to get a text to
verify your account. Very easy for most of you. You probably
did that for craigslist. It's their way of weeding out junk.
Once you verify your account, you can login and change your
profile. The place I'm telling you to put links is in the biography
section. You can write a whole article in this if you wish.
You can include links, but must use common markup like [url=
They don't seem to allow anchor text. No problem. Html
is not allowed, I don't think.
Here's a sample. Not the best, just a sample that I found quick.

They also have a separate section for a website in your profile.
Now I would not make a sig file. The forum is about movies.
Just make relevant posts about movies. Each post gives you
a link to your profile page.
