I just noticed that on one of my sites, the first text adsense block shows up and is almost instantly replaced with a search-box.

The search box is definately not mine, so i would appreciate any suggestions you might have.

The site is pavediamondring(dot)net

Thank you very much.

I took a look, all I see is a regular Adsense text Ad.

Post a screenshot of what you see.

Did you just make an update? Do you have other
javascripts on the page, like amazon, or other?

After updating some code, your browser may juggle
a lot of weird stuff around. It settles down.

I've seem browsers put amazon where adsense was
      right after a code change.

        Hi marketguy,

Sounds like you may have malware on your computer that has hijacked your browser. Run some anti-malware utilities to clean your computer.

This seems to be the most plausible explanation, since this does not happen, when i run IE ....only on Firefox. I am running "Malwarebyte Anti Malware" right now. Let's see if this fixes it. Any suggestions on better anti malware software are always welcome.

At least this seems to be a problem of my browser and not the horrible scenario of someone having hacked my sites.

Lets see if the malware scan fixes this.

Thank you all very much for your input.

            Update:

After running the anti malware software and deleting the two it found, the problem did NOT go away.

Other than looking for another malware remover, i am not sure what else to do.

Well, i could wipe my drives, but i think you all know what a pain in the "you know what" that would be.

Do a regular Google search, do you see weird looking Ads in the SERPs.

I had a virus on my PC about 4 years ago that kept changing Google SERP Ads for some affiliate looking Ads.

Also download Malwarebytes (free version) & run the software scan.

      Nope, nothing unusual there.

Still have not found the problem.
        This only happens in firefox.

    Fixed!

The problem was a firefox extension "Yontoo"
Once disabled, things returned to normal.

Hope this helps someone in a similar situation.

I have the same thing on one of my ads: it briefly flashes on a regular adsense ad when I first land on the page, then immediately switches to the other> I was wondering if it was also adsense. How did you discover what your problem was?

On a side note - I have also been experiencing a lot of other problems with my site in the past month:

links on my site not going anywhere

adsense stopped paying for clicks that were previously paying 2-3 dollars each (went from close to $100.00 a day to cents a day)

webmaster tools warning of unnatural links being detected (I've not changed anything on the site in about 6-7 months)

I'm growing increasingly frustrated. Something new seems to pop up on a regular basis. About ready to just shut it all down.

Unfortunately this f...g s...t Yontoo is included in instalation of some other plugins or softwares
It replaces/overwrite site ads with some other things without site/webmaster knowledge.
And then what happens with your adsense earnings - goes down

That is not fare at all for all webmasters and companies that tries to make good websites and earn some money from them with ad units.
