Are SEO folks interested in Joint Ventures?

I have recently added a joint venture post to the joint venture section of this site.

It has just struck me, are SEO folks the kind of people who would be interested in joint ventures, or do you prefer to work by yourself?

I know different sectors of marketing have different attitudes to collaborations.

We've designed the JV to be very profitable to both sides, so I am just curious if it's the kind of invite your industry welcomes?

I would be willing to set some sort of blog network up with a few people; I would say 3-5 people and we can only have 4-8 links per website. Just to help spread the cost.

You had better start JV for sharing hosting accounts. In this way you would be able to control backlinks from your websites and no need to get in an agreement to have 4-8 links per website.

I do JV's from time to time, but there has to be something that benefits both parties.

The only joint ventures I do as an SEO are the ones where I get paid upfront for my work. The ones where I will get paid once the idea starts selling because it is a total "can't miss" opportunity, I pass on. Now if there is a payment upfront with bonuses on performance, even better. I refuse to work for free though.

JV's have worked well for me in the past... Info products and working on blog networks as a team has worked well for me.
