I think E-MD is good if those are the only letters you wish to use.

I would suggest keeping EMD and just addin a highly relevant work (so its a long tail alltogether). This could ne ackward if its like 3 8-10 letter words in the first place, but still better thatn puting "-" between.

    My 2 cents...

    Sincerely, Buyseech

Agree. In my experience hyphenated is less effective than none hyphenated so try and add an extra relevant word if you can.

Penguin cares about content issues. EMD cannot play a role, unless its really a 10 word longtail stuffed everywhere including the domain name.

    Just a thought...

I bought a domain after the Penguin update, set it live on 26th of April(about a week ago), and ranked it in top 10 for it's chosen term. I went with E-M-D...

Dude - get out of EMD thinking. Go for a proper brand name instead.

4 blogs EMD all held position. Main site Branded was Page one, Now Page Gone!

Not really sure EMD has that much to do with it. All I do know is that when a search is returned the EMD domain name is still highlighted as though it has had some influence on the search result.

After this last update WHO KNOWS?
