Would a domian redirect solve my penguin problem?

I have one site that generated about$30 a month before penguin.

It is 11 mos old pr 1 and EMD.

At $30 a month it is not worth going back over every backlink and ignoring my other sites.

I do have a pr 5 site waiting in the wings for another project.

Could I just move my site to that domain and solve this issue?
or could i just redirect the pr 5 site into mr current emd site , would that help?

I am thinking if the sites merge the pr5 sites backlinks would diversify the link structure enough to remove the penguin penalty?

Also would one or the other be considered black hat?

If you do that it's possible that you will transfer the problem to your new site. I look into this when my site got hit by the unnatural links penalty, all info on the matter said a redirect wouldn't help with penalties. Your problem seems to be a algo change which it's not really a penalty, either way I don't see anything good happening by doing a redirect, just start fresh with your pr 5 site. I could be wrong though.

well i was thinking the link profile of the pr 5 site should dilute the incoming anchor text profile, atleast on the home page.

If i dont redirect but just move the content I can fill out the form on webmasters tools correct?

I tried transferring content from a site that was penalized to a new domain, the content is indexed but does not receive anywhere as much traffic as it did before.

What I'm trying to say is if google considers those links from your old site bad, why would you want to transfer them to a perfectly good pr 5 site. The link diversity may help but than again, the links from the old site may hurt the pr 5.

        What form?

Honestly I'm surprised there are not more marketers trying to help you out, my experience is limited in this matter.

no worries man I appreciate you taking the time to post.

I dont think google considers the links bad I jthink it is just anchor text over-optimized.
