Fixing sites which got hit by Penguin

Amongst the many more or less useful posts, i found ONE very good here a few days ago, it was about reviving hit sites by using 301 redirects.

My personal question now is how many people already did this successfully, in particular with Wordpress.....and what their results, tips etc. are.

So you 301 all of the backlinks to a new domain right? Why would it help? If it was the Panda (on-page) update that hit you, then sure. But this one? I don't think so, sorry.

And yes, I have done it and it didn't help - got a good boost for a few days, then back to previous positions (identical).

      Hey AnmolJ !
Isn't this the open door to the negative SEO ?

  • 301 redirects will not change anything, maybe for a little while you will move back up, but the end result will be the same.
