Hi, I'm new to PPC and want to learn more about it. If I drive traffic to my landing page from PPC campaign, how much CTR from landing page is good. And how much percentage of sales is good from the traffic we send from landing page to merchant website. Thanks

    Hi There,

A high CTR from your landing page to merchant is crucial for success with PPC. A 50 % is OK, while 75% + CTR is excellent.

With respects to conversions. I would say that profiting with PPC would require a 2:100 conversion ratio.

    Good luck,

    Matt

50% conversion from landing page to merchant website? That is so high for me. Any tips to have that kind of conversion? How about linking directly to merchant website? Will it work?

Directly to Merchant site? That's not a good idea.

Just to clarify 50% click through rate from your landing page to your merchant is what I meant (i'm not referring to sales conversions).

With respects to converting your traffic into sales, I would say that you're looking at a range of 1-5% conversion rate depending on the products you are promoting, the keywords you are targeting, and the quality of your landing page.

Direct linking works - but good quality landing pages that do a good job at connecting with your audience will surely drive sales above and beyond what direct linking can do for you.

With respects to achieving high CTR's from your LP to your merchant, make sure your landing page looks (1) professional, (2) relevant, (3) has a call to action link above the fold, (4) is stripped down of links and distractions as much as possible, and (5) is focused on generating click troughs only.

      Definitely remove the Adsense.

You'll want to focus on generating clicks for the merchants you are affiliate with instead.

For the lp you sent me - what kind of keywords are you targeting? How many keywords are you using?

Lots of keywords around survey. I got only a few clicks from adsense. So i think it does not distract too much

      Hi Again,

Move your adsense to the bottom of the page (at least). Do this if you would rather have your visitor click on your affiliate links vs. the adsense.

With respects to your keywords - you need ensure that you landing page is highly relevant to your targeted keywords.

For example - let's saying you're targeting the following keywords:

      paid surveys
      cash surveys
      online surveys
      make money with surveys

You want your headline to read something like this (just a silly example):

"Make Money With Paid Surveys - Quick and Easy"

And you'll want to include a call to action link between your first and second paragraph...

Click Here To Learn How To Make Money With Paid Surveys

This makes your landing page more relevant to the person visiting your site. Your giving them what they're looking for and thus they'll be much more likely to at least click through to your merchant and potentially convert into a sale.

Also - why focus on promoting surveys? There are better offers out there to promote.

take a look at the top offers on clickbank. Focus on promoting proven products that serve hungry markets / niches:

You are my hero emjayce. Vote you for the most helpful person in the forum. I'm starting small. The PPC i join is not the big three, so it's a low quality. I don't think I can sell them anything. I'm from Indonesia, and clickbank won't accept people from here. I do have CJ account, but no sales so far. With this survey at least I can cover my PPC cost, just trying to learn PPC so that I can be ready for the big ones.
