      One small caveat. Don't use them as tier 2 or tier 3. Instead, use them to blast to your tier 2 or tier 3 links. Your tier 2 should be close to the same quality as your tier 1. Ditto your tier 3. Mass bookmarks, articles submission, wikis, directories, etc should be pointed at each tier to strengthen it. Well, maybe not tier 1, but that is a whole other discussion.

      Yes do not use directly to your money site because of google panda/penguin updates.
      Here's the few steps
      1. Tier1 = Your money site
      2. Tier2: Create some 4/5 web2.0 sites with 60/70% unique articles + link, pointing back to your tier1 (you can use blogger, wordpress.com, tumblr etc..)
      3. Submit 5/10 articles / web2.0
      4. Tier3: Submit your tier2 links on article sites. After getting the posted article urls. Build the wiki links to them.

      NOTE: You can also use wiki links directly on tier2, but it'd be much safer to use on tier3.

        Yes, this is exactly right. I use this foundation for my money sites. I do blast my youtube videos with wiki links. you don't ever want to link directly to your money sites. the links must be "filtered" by web 2.0 properties and the like

    According to me you can use them in link pyramid rather than pointing to your main website because your website may be penalized due to bulk linking.
