Why I am ranked 1 for a country and nowhere in others?

Hi guys, this is the case with 2 of my blogger sites. They both used to be in top 3 for a lot of keywords in US and all other countries. However, they got a hit and now they are ranking but just for my country.

1 of them was 2 month old
2nd is a year old it keeps happening to it. It come back to rankings stay there for a week or two and then again goes back being 1 in just my country.

Is it something to do with my blogger account? Any suggestions?

    Is it possible you're seeing only personalized results? Have you tried checking when completely logged out of every Google site?

      No, I am not seeing any personalized results. I logged out. I am using Firefox in private browsing. I use "&gl=us" parameter to check rankings for different country.

      When I was ranking well, I get like 200 visitors per day, mostly US. Now it is ranked just for India, get 5-10 visitors daily. And they both used to make me good amount of money when they are ranking.

        Maybe you got drunk and you entered your google webmaster's account and changed the domain's location to India and you don't remember?

          I wish I had done something like that, but no its still set to US and I set it again. Hope it works.

          I just don't it to happen with my other sites that I am building. What precautions should I take and even if it happend again, how to get them back into SERP's.

    Happened with me before. Now my site is improving on SERP for US too. Hope it will be up soon. Initially I changed geographical location to a particular country. Also, it depend on your domain tld, hosting server location.

      It is just a plain blogspot . com site (no private hosting). The geographic location is US only. Have you done anything else other than changing the geographic location?

      I don't think its helping a lot. I am trying to get few HIGH quality backlnks to it, maybe it will get its ranking back.

    Same problem here I rank in top # 3 on google.es and nowhere in other spanish googles like .mx .com.ar, etc

      Tried anything to get this problem solved. Those 2 sites were making me 1000$/month. I really do want to get them back.
