Hello There,

What is the best way and how long does it take to get rid of Google Penguine penalty. I just go about removing spammy backlinks as far as I can.

Thanks

      Nice 4 steps.

A lot of these seem to be very important.

Stop inserting keywords on your title and separating them with | (pipe line), create a more descriptive title for your site..Like a phrase like title with your brand name, keywords and location..

i wish we knew if penguin is simply ignoring/discounting all spammy BLs or if it is applying a serp drop for every spammy BL. if it is the later, i have no choice but to relaunch my site under a new domain name, as i have no direct access to most of my 1000s of BLs.

It wouldn't make sense to apply a SERP drop because no one can control who links to their site, but from what i've seen of the rankings it does look like it's more than just discounting backlinks because I have a site where the inner pages are being outranked by rubbish quality sites with no original content due to the homepage having mostly the main keyword as backlink anchor text.

That isn't really a plausible solution because most people with spammy backlinks have created hundreds or thousands of them so it would take ages to remove them and many of them are on sites which they can't edit also so they'd have to spend countless hours contacting webmasters to remove them.

A lot of people are talking about the ratio at which your KW is in anchor text compared to other anchor texts, generally most people are saying the ratio should be no more than 50:50.

Following this logic it would be far more easy and beneficial to build more links with different anchor texts e.g. if you have 100 links with your targeted KW in, then simply build 100 more with different KWs.

Well it depends on how much penalty you have gotten. Some penalties are much worse than others.
