Article length question - Google ranking

I have a question about article length and which is better in terms of how Google ranks it:

Suppose my niche is laptop and I am writing following articles:

'Samsung Laptop specs'
'Samsung Laptop problems'
'Samsun Laptop news'

Is it better to have three articles (assuming they are each of 500-700 words) separately as different posts each targeting different keywords or is it better to have them in one post (which will be of length 1500-2100 word)?

Yes, it is better to have 3 articles that you can link together as well you
    are providing more content.

Google wants to see relevancy for their users, this is what makes them #1
and they want to keep it that way.

If you provide content on each of these topics, they will be more targeted to
what you're user is searching for, PLUS you can link each one to the other which
google LOVES in order to rank in a higher position.

You will also find it much easier to write 3 500 page articles than one large one.
There are many other tricks you can use to rank you're blog, especially if put you're
articles on an authority blog that has built in SEO.

For example, I just did a blog post today and in 10 minutes it was ranking on page 4 of
google and climbing. If you a need a suggestion as to good platform to use for this,
just pm me. I'm also in the process of composing a PDF about a trick I'm using for endless
content to blog and how you can rank fast and many times on the first page.

    I hope this helps.

Actually the best option is to have one page per keyword and then write one bigger article as a resource which will link to all three, this always work and you will probably see that it could outrank each page for their keywords...

Three different articles of 500-700 words with better contents can possibly give better ranking. interrelationship among the articles using common keywords and relevancy is helpful for better ranking. But whether it is one or three, try to develop with better contents.

Don't write for search engines, write for users. If you searched for "Samsung Laptop News" and ended up on a page about "Samsung Laptop Specs", you would immediately click the back button.

Make the articles informative and useful to the users.

      This ^^^

But i'd also like to add that you get as much pictures and maybe a video or 2 into your article. I've been having much more success with pictures and video added plus having 700-1000 word articles.

I don't mean to sound like an expert on this because I am NOT --- but I feel if you have too much redundant/similar content as different posts/pages, you MAY get a penalty. So I think it might be good to put it on the same page or category.. JUST my thoughts tho.
