Hi Warriors,

I started a new website about 3 weeks ago.
I started building links (PR 6 to PR 7)to it after about 7 days. I watched that I only build 1 - 2 a day.
It was doing well and ranked on first page of google for my main keyword which is pretty competitive.

Now 4 days ago I build about 10 very high PR backlinks to it (PR 8 to PR 9)all in one day, and suddenly it´s nowhere to be found in the serps 1000 anymore.

I´m very worried, did I mess it up? I keept on posting very high quality content, but there are no more pages being indexed.

Everything that was indexed before that, is still in google.

It´s in this state since 3 days, and I´m wondering if it every will recover from whatever I did.

Do you know what happened? Is it a big problem? Has my website been slaped? Can it recover? How long will it take?

It must have been the links, how fast should I build links to a new website?

Should I start a new domain?

Please help, any answer and advice is appreciated

Thanks alot!

I doubt it's anything to worry about, it will come back eventually. Just remember that for a new site ONLY getting PR6+ backlinks is VERY unnatural and easy to spot.

Never ONLY use high PR and ONLY DoFollow backlinks, this creates footprints. Always diversify, ALWAYS.

Thanks for the answers. Now I´m feeling a little better

But whats up with the new content I added not being indexed.

In my experience, my pages and posts get indexed within 2 days, since I ping them. But all of my new content is not being indexed.

Any clue whats that all about?

At the moment I´m only building backlinks to the main site with my main keyword as anchor text.

I thought I first get that ranked before getting the other keywords done.

In your situation I would do the following:
        • use social signals for the main URL (30 - 40%) and the rest for internal URLs
        • build .edu/.gov sites for a lot of URLs (including the home page/main URL)
        • build backlinks for the existing ones (select the most important of them)
        • build backlinks to internal pages with random, natural looking anchor texts like "click here", "Read full article", "Source", "visit website", URL, brand etc.
Just drip it all over time. Give it time! At least one month.

Patience is a virtue in these hard times with the latest Google algorithm updates (Panda 3.5, Penguin and more to come).
        Hope it helps!

What do you mean by, build backlinks for the existing ones?

          Build backlinks to my backlinks?

Yes. Building backlinks to your most important backlinks is a good strategy!

It's called the Google Dance and once you start diversifying your link profile you will begin to stabilize and not thrust back into the abyss every time you do something. I've noticed with the most recent update my sites (even old ones) are more sensitive to new links and thus I am starting to believe that the new algo is reacting to our sites in a more real-time manner.

Nothing to worry about. Keep building links. Keep building your brand. Google will stop trying to take you out for a dance eventually.
