Hello

In wordpress I usually name the page the same title as I put on the H1 tag..

I just think it looks right to the user to see the title at the top of the page.

Is this bad with Penguin?

That's ok, just don't use more than a single <h1> tag & don't repeat the <title> outside of that single <h1> tag.

Example, don't use the <title> text in multiple <h> tags.

    Thanks Yukon.
I've since found on some themes it makes visual sense to do the h1 and title as the same, and on others it looks redundant.

I recently struggled with a similar issue with whether it was okay to make your H1 tag a backlink. I decided it wasn't.

Instead, I do KW in title, then in the H1 rag, then link to the keyword in the paragraph below the H1 tag. To me, logically, the title and H1 tags validate the anchor text in the backlink directly below it.

I then try to put in an H2, 3, or 4 tag somewhere naturally in the text with a longer tail keyword that matches a deep link below that.

It seems to working fairly well for me. Good luck and WordPress is the best...

it has a relationship, because H1 should contain keywords that are derived from the article, so the fishing bot crawl

It is safe to make both h1 and title same, but don't repeat that line again in other heading and strong etc tags in order to avoid keyword spam
