Finally after 2 months it's back.

About 2 months ago one site of mine disappeared right to the last page in Google for the main keyword.
It was a new site, done at the end of December 2011 and had only done about 10 backlinks to it, a couple .edus and some bookmarking and before it went was sitting about midway page one.
Then it dropped to the last page as sometimes happen but has taken forever to come back, well about 2 months actually. A couple weeks ago, maybe 3, another couple sites also dropped to last page with hardly any backlinks.
I haven't touched them, just did some tweaking to the one that went 2 months back but today they all come back to page one for their main keywords. Don't know whether they will stick for long but Google is so annoying at times, it's hard to work them out.
Another thing I did was to remove every site from webmaster tools about a week back, mainly because I never trusted Google analytics and removed all sites ages ago from there, but was getting no benefit from using webmaster tools. Probably coincidence but thought I'd mention it.
