What links are best for ranking youtube vids/what's your youtube linkbuilding routine?

I'm trying to boost a few of my youtube vids. One has been sitting at #3-#5 for the past few weeks and I'd like to get it to #1. I've boosted views to around 20,000, added 700 bookmarks and 9000 article submissions with AMR.

Any recommendations for a better routine or other links I should be looking at to grab #1? Thanks.

    I don't personally build links to my YouTube videos, but I do build traffic (which can be the same concept)

    I use Facebook and Google+ primarily.

    But, an even bigger thing is to try and do the same keyword research as you would with a search engine.

    Look at the rankings for certain terms in YouTube and try to rank higher for those terms, don't spam the place, but include them in your description, title, tags, or even in word format in the videos.

    A great way to get lots of words into your description is by having a transcription of what was said in the video

    Google loves to see social sharing and high pr links. So I would suggest tweeting your video and then getting a gig on Fiverr for a bunch or retweets. You can also buy google plus ones. You can also create high pr web 2.0 links and wiki links.

    Another thing you can do is create backlinks to your backlinks. I think it's better to create about 20 really high quality links and then throw a bunch or blog comments and forum profiles to those backlinks to give them an extra boost.

    I usually backlink to a video just like I would a web page. Is this a local keyword or more generic like nationwide?

    You can also buy google plus ones.
    Would not recommend.

    The algo is smart enough to know the difference between G+'s that are spread across a bunch of unrelated accounts and G+s that are shared among accounts that follow each other and spread in a natural pattern.

    It would be speculative of me to say that this would hurt your rankings. (not enough data, I'm still testing). But I can say that at a minimum it's a waste of time and or resources.

    Comment on others channel wall or videos with your video link and post your video to social sites like facebook, twitter, myspace etc..

    My biggest concern is that you shouldn't specifically be looking for ways to just rank your video's by backlinking.

    You want to create videos that people will share with their friends/family. If your videos aren't shareable, no ones going to care much on YouTube as that's the point of the network.

    We rank youtube videos or any other URL for under $100 dollars a month ($70 for the next 2 days). We use web 2.0 posts, articles, social links, wiki, our private blog network and images. We've had ton of success even through the latest Google changes.
