The following links are 3 articles about the future of Google and affiliate marketers by an internet marketer that I think is fairly knowledgeable and trustworthy, his name is Jim Cockrum...a few people might be familiar with him.

I for the most part agree with everything he stated in these 3 articles and just wanted to share...may not be earth shattering for some but for people that are new or struggling I think this may be pretty enlightening...

The Death of Google (1996-2012) | Jim Cockrum Blog ***read the whole article...the title was a bit misleading***

Affiliate marketing IS NOT a business | Jim Cockrum Blog

Affiliate marketing dying? More evidence. | Jim Cockrum Blog

I'm certain there will be some who disagree with what was said in those articles and I would be interested to hear why they disagree.

I took a look at the 2nd post and the writer seems to be promoting a product of his own. Overall the article seemed pretty shallow.

I can understand why you would say that...

Did you read the other articles?

And do you believe that affiliate marketing in and of itself is a business if you don't first form relationships with your website visitors/aren't building a list?

    First article:
    • "Dramatic Title" which is an old traffic trick.
    • Keyword stuffing like crazy, it took the guy the first 4 paragraphs of repeating the same exact thing over, & over..., he did that keyword stuffing for Google SERPs.
    • Bottom line is PPC isn't dead from Ad blindness, Facebook launched one of the largest IPOs in history, Facebooks largest source of income is paid advertisements, same as Google.

I didn't read any other articles on the site because I already know where he is heading.

In IM you have different types of ways to promote yourself/products, it's very common for someone to fail at one IM technique & then shout from the rooftops that technique doesn't work, you can see it here on WF just about every day.

That's like saying you can't make money being a pro basketball player, I mean after all I'm personally not in the NBA right?

He has an agenda just like any other marketer online or offline, it's the typical "My idea is the only way to make money!" setup.
