Mulitple Keywords on one domain using wordpress

Can someone critique my idea here (not claiming its ground breaking).
Lets say I have 1 main niche keywords im targeting, and wordpress homepage is landing page...Next I have 10 other sub- niche keywords, but a bit undecided on landing page strategy.
Instead of using categories for each sub keyword, I was thinking of using page titles for each keyword, and installing a plug-in to exclude specific pages from the navigation menu (as this would look sloppy having 10+ menu navigation items on every page with crazy sounding URLs)
So each page is a landing page, but not listed on menu. Then each page only has one article. Each page has a correlating Category, so when I make posts related to landing page, I categorize it, then on landing page I link to the category of posts page (or most popular posts in category, etc).
Also each post I make in correlating category, I link within post, an anchor text to the landing page that it relates mostly to. That way my hidden pages dont get lost by google.
My goals with this method are to mainly be able to effectively use multiple keywords targeting (all on similiar keyword) with just one domain, and to not screw up my sitemap in googles eyes. Also my keywords shows up nicely in url: xxx.widgets/keyword/
I would still use a navigation menu on more important global pages such as: video library, about page, products page, home page, articles page.
