How can I spy on my competitor's PPC campaigns?

Is there a way for me to find out the keywords my competitors are using on Adwords?

I've looked up some old threads on this and I couldn't find anything newer than a couple years ago.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

      Hi BillyBee,

There is no tool that will tell you every keyword that your competition is using. The paid versions of tools mention in this thread, spyfu and keywordspy, will find many keywords that your competitors are using, but typically only a small portion of their entire list of keywords will be identified.

I have found that doing extensive keyword research and using permutation tools you can generate a massive list of relevant keywords. If you build campaigns with those massive lists, you can learn a lot about your competitors' bidding strategy for each keyword by checking out the keyword Auctions Insight report.

I conduct my keyword research manually. The best way, even Webmaster Tools is sometimes inaccurate. Don't worry about your competition's keywords. Worry about your own keywords and continue to add quality content and more backlinks to your website.

You make a great point and I like this advice .... BUT .... I happen to know that my competitor makes $20K to $30K per month profit from his Adwords campaign. And I'm only doing a fraction of that. I'd be stupid not to at least try and see what he's doing, don't you think? That's why I'm looking into this.

I like the way keywordspy.com shows their data, they include the actual Adwords Ad & the time frame they found each Ad in the SERPs.

I know that there is a spy on keywords website. If you do a search on spy on adwords keywords, a few sites should come up. Good luck.

my vote for keywordspy. especially if you can take their paid version. Semrush is not a bad choice either.
look around to see what works for you.
