Getting Pages To Index Faster

So I have been building up my first authority site, and I'm a little hesitant to backlink it as I would my niche sites. I am really trying to build this one slowly and let content drive the traffic.

Mostly because I want to build a business that really lasts and isn't subject to google updates.

So far I've been adding content for 2 weeks. I have 89 pages indexed in google, and its been over a week since they indexed it last. Now there is most likely 150+ and google hasn't come by and indexed it again.

Looking for extremely safe ways to get Google to pick up the new content a little quicker.

I am getting about 15-20 hits a day from very long tail keywords on the stuff already indexed and I want to see if the traffic really does grow with the content. I haven't built a link to the site yet.

Thanks

  • Make sure you have a good internal link structure. The search engines follow the pages that are already indexed to find new ones. Also, provide the major search engines with an xml sitemap.

      Good advice!

I do have the google XML sitemap plugin, (Never tried anything else just following what others have had luck with)

Internal link structure might be a bit weak. The site is an affiliate / amazon finding the lowest prices on certain clothing and apparel. I only link to other pages within the site when I am doing a writeup and in that writeup I mention another product on the site, I'll then create a link.

It would be good to see or hear some examples of ways to do some better internal linking. (this is something I think I overlook on all my sites)
