okay!! i am planning to buy domain from godaddy auctions - dropped one with PR2.
My question is since i am going to start the domain new way, will i loose the Existing PR on next PR Update.

I have read couple of articles online on this and have some suggestions n tips to retain (301 redirect internal pages etc) but looking for suggestion from someone who has experienced it.

thanx in advance

There are a lot of factors that determine if you will loose your PR or not.
However before buying the domain check if it has adequate backlinks to it already. For a PR2 , look for a domain that has 30+ backlinks to it. make sure the pr is not faked. Use info:site.com to see if sucks PR from another website. Check webarchive to see if it was 301'd in past to fake PR. Also use site:site.com to see if there are a couple of pages indexed in google.

No , starting the domain in a new way with new content doesnot mean you will loose your pagerank. Just make sure you post quality content to it.

Not unless the backlinks are consistent with the domain with the PR. If the backlinks are removed and if it's a 301 redirect you may lose the PR. Unless otherwise, i don't see any chances that you lose PR.

Since you have mentioned that you have dropped a PR 2 domain, definitely you dont own the domain as well as the PR of that domain goes down, if there is no content on it. If you buy a new domain and make a website with some genuine content, Google will Definitely recognize your website with a pagerank and since its a new domain the process takes time. Also PR algorithm depends on a lot of factors. So, add genuine content to your website and give some time to Google, may be 3 -5 months.

Pretty much everything in this statement is wrong. The content does not impact the PR.

To the OP, as long as the backlinks remain, so will the PR.

In my experiences, I've only lost the pr when the site sat with no content for a long period of time. Usually if you buy the domain, get your content up right away, it should be fine.
However check the backlink profile. Make sure they are established long term backlinks that won't disappear as soon as you buy the domain. Some scammers out there will use a private network to boost pr for the sale and once sold will remove the backlinks and on the next pr update your pr is gone.
