I hope to have a new web site up online by the end of next week.

I know absolutely nothing abouts LINKS.

Anyone know of a free ebook that can provide a step by step
methode for setting up LINKS?

I see one forum member is offering 1,000 LINKS for free.
Not to sure of that.

Any help or guidence would be appreciated

If you want to follow Google's guidelines, don't build any links to your site. Let it happen naturally!!

I just laughed out loud on that one.

Use the search button and read some threads on building links to a new site. You'll find a lot of info. I would build some social bookmarks, start building out some web 2.0 sites to link to your money site, maybe a few articles to some of the big article directories. That's a good start and should keep you busy while you keep surfing and learning.

Paying someone to build links for you is the easiest way, but there's a good chance you'll get scammed. People use buffer sites to help mitigate that.

Fiverr is a great place to find people who will build a modest amount of links for you for $5. Or you can find people on this forum or somewhere else on the interwebs but they will usually provide the same type of service for $40-$2000. There's a good chance you'll make a mistake any way you do it, but a $5 mistake is better then a more expensive one.

The whitehat way of building backlinks would be to write content and let others link to you. It may take longer but in the end your site will benefit a lot more from this.

write quality content and offer it to readers on high PR article sites. At the end of your work include one, ONE little link back to your site anchored with your main keyword. Occasionally, include a variation of your keyword.

if it's truly quality, it will be syndicated and other folks will use it, with your link.

Depends on how you want things to go about. If you want to let things happen for you, just create content and promote your site on social networking sites. And if you want to optimize your site and want to rank by shedding some sweat, you should follow the link building strategies. Google them or search it on warriorforum search box.

Stay away from buying a set amount of links or anything that uses the word "blasts". You want real links, not junk.

If your site is really good, submit it to the Cool Site of the Day sites, there's a few of them and they can really start you off with a big boost, if you get selected.

To get your site off the ground, write a good press release announcing the launch of it and distribute it via a reputable press release site.

Submit to authority directories in your niche.

Stay active on Facebook and Twitter as well, offer tips and advice that will attract followers.

Create a Youtube channel and offer informative videos, link to your site in the description.

Next, find the authority blogs in your niche and write thoughtful, informative comments on them that will get approved. Even better, build relationships with authority blog owners in your niche. You do this by writing good comments that the owner may reply to or just by contacting them via email or their contact form.

Also, find forums in your niche and start participating on them, offering valuable posts and replies that will get you noticed. Then add your site to your signature once you have established yourself on the forum.

Real "link building" is just proper promotion and marketing, it takes time, but its worth it.
