Hi newbie here,

So I have a brand new site, about a 6 week old website. It's a real estate website in a pretty competitive market area. About 2-3 weeks in, my site showed up on pg3 of google for the keyword im trying to rank on. Next day it was gone. Continue my onpage seo and building out my site. Tried slowly creating backlinks. Submitted my site to yahoo & bing. they were on pg1 for about 1 week. Now bing and yahoo only have 1 page indexed which is weird and i dont rank anymore. Google has 140+ pages of my website indexed, but i cant seem to ever get my website to show up. unless i search by url. i literally submitted to maybe 3 directories, and posted on a few blogs. I have a handful of forum signatures. I'm still trying to build out my backlinks, but i cant imagine now even ranking in top 20-50 pages when websites with obscure references to my keywords rank higher.

Am i still in the google sandbox? should i give it time? weird thing is analytics show certain keywords once in a while, but when i search i cant replicate it.

getting frustrated that nothings working. what are the experts here @ warriorforum thinking?

If you site is only 6 weeks old and you are in a competitive niche, I would be very surprised if your site was ranking well.

I would think it would take several months, depending on your backlink strategy.

It is common for a new site to suddenly show up on the first page or two in google and then disappear. Just a little new site honeymoon period in google. Just keep backlinking and give it some time.
