Google "Smart Pricing" Question..

I have a network of websites and at one point (about 3 months ago), the payout per click was great - between 1-2 dollars per click.

I had some issues with my account since I didn't input the PIN number in time and for about a month (while I was waiting for it to arrive in the mail), google took the ads off my sites and replaced them with public service ads..

When the ads went back up, I found out that they were being "smart priced" and the payouts went from 1-2 dollars per click down to 1-2 CENTS per click~!

Lately, the payouts have been going up but they're still nowhere near what they were before..

So, my question..

Does google slowly weed accounts out of smart pricing gradually? .. as in increase your paypot percentage per day/week/month until you get back up to the full/regular payout rate?

    no experience of being smart priced ...

    but some quick research suggests this actually occurs all the time based on the click through performance on your site ...

    now for that month that you were running public service ads, my guess is google wasn't collecting click through data on the ads, because frankly, no-one would care about this data ...

    so essentially it would be starting off again in terms of click through rates etc, as i imagine it only looks back so far in determining pricing data based on click through - i.e. the number of clickthroughs that occurred in the last week is more relevant than what happened a month ago ...

    just my interpretation

    smart price is one of the google trick.its not possible to get high cpc regularly google pays smart price one per week you can get good amount of price per click in that time
