Don't use a brand name in the domain name, trust me your just setting yourself up for a possible fail later on.

    Do something like this:

    hxxp://carstereo.com/sony-gps-300x/

No, not spam. But as a few others have said you may run into TM issues in the long run.

If I were a quality rater, I'd rate it as a doorway/useless/spam. So yeah, IMO Google would consider it yet another spammy exact match domain.

Well that is not spam.. but your domain name will include an already established brand name, that probably will makes you ranking difficult. Because Google ranks authority websites on the top.

It's not spam at all and on your blog as long as you do a product review your fine. Just dont post like you work for Sony and you will be fine. Dont listen to anyone who saying its spam, they just dont want you to make money.

No. A lot of IMers use this technique to get easy rank on 1st page of Google.
In this way, you could get rank easier with less backlinks.

A lot of Warriors have also mentioned about this technique in their WSOs.

try to set a site that give some value to the persons that wants to buy the product.

do a research and help them before they click on your affiliate link. that's the best way to make your site "un spam". give some value.

Having a brand name on domain does not consider as a spam however it will be difficult for you to rank since there are authority websites with in your niche.

Like Yukon said, target an innerpage or if you want to gain the advantage of an EMD then leave out the reviews part cause that messes up the EMD advantage totally.

You could say it's short term thinking, but well when targetting a specific model nr you already know it's temporarily so that shouldn't stop you.

Cause of the brand name in the domain the experience might end sooner then you wish.

It is better to avoid BRAND name in your URL. It may lead to TRADMARK issues.

It's not spam but it could get you a ban from Amazon, in trouble with Sony, it won't be the easiest of sites to rank and it has no longevity.
So in short you'd be wasting your time.

According to me if you were to create a website for "sony gps 300x" to push some amazon affiliate links, would registering a domain called "sonygps300xreviews.com" than google not consider spam. Because amazon is authority sites and google never consider as spam to this type of sites.
